Hyde Park Hyde Park is immediately to the west of the hotel and is one of the largest and most beloved open spaces in London. The park covers 350 acres and includes the Serpentine lake (with rowing boats and a lido), the Serpentine Gallery, the Diana Memorial Fountain, and Speaker’s Corner at the Marble Arch end. In summer it hosts major concerts and events. In winter, the Hyde Park Winter Wonderland is one of London’s most popular Christmas attractions. Entry to the park is free at all times.

Kensington Gardens adjoins Hyde Park to the west and is home to Kensington Palace, the Albert Memorial, and the Italian Gardens — a quieter and more formal continuation of the same open space.

Shopping Oxford Street is 12 minutes’ walk north-east, London’s primary shopping street, anchored by Selfridges at the western end and stretching east to Tottenham Court Road.

Bond Street runs south from Oxford Street into Mayfair and is London’s most prestigious shopping destination, home to Tiffany, Louis Vuitton, Cartier, Chanel, and dozens of international luxury brands. Mount Street, running through central Mayfair, is an excellent street for independent luxury boutiques and galleries.
