Piccadilly Circus Nightlife

Where are my night owls at?

I am here to give you a rundown of Piccadilly Circus nightlife.

Mind you, as hard as I may try, this is still going to be a fraction of what Piccadilly Circus nightlife has to offer: its superb location and its proximity to Soho makes it an excellent choice for chilling with a cocktail or dancing the night away. So, I will keep it snappy and share some of the best spots with you guys.

GETTING AROUND

Piccadilly is located in the beating heart of London, nestled in between Covent Garden, Soho, and Mayfair.

Piccadilly Circus tube station is on the Bakerloo and Piccadilly lines, which will take you anywhere you need to go. Leicester Square (Northern Line) and Green Park (Victoria line and Jubilee line) tube stations are both a short walk away.

The Jubilee, Northern and Victoria lines (as well as the Central line) run overnight on Friday and Saturday, making it even easier to get around (I do however suggest you plan your journey in advance, as the Night Tube may be affected by strikes).

BARS & PUBS

BELOW COCKTAIL BAR

A sophisticated cocktail bar in Piccadilly, Below Cocktail Bar offers a unique selection of carefully crafted house cocktails that you will not be able to find elsewhere. Only the highest quality spirits are being used such as Macallan 25YO Anniversary Malt and Cambridge Distillery Truffle Gin. My favourite cocktail is Last Train to Tokyo: Tanqueray gin, Belsazar rose, cherry blossom, pink grapefruit, sparkling wine. Delicious!

QUEEN’S HEAD

This independent pub opened its doors in 1736 and boasts an impressive selection of ales and other beverages, as well as delicious food and friendly service.

BAR AMERICAIN

An authentic American bar in the heart of Piccadilly, who would have thought?

Bar Americain serves a number of pre-Prohibition cocktails. You will want to try the White Lady: Sipsmith gin, Triple Sec blend, lemon juice, aquafaba, and sugar. There even is a special menu in partnership with Moulin Rouge! All the classics are also available upon request.

3 AND 6 BAR AT FORTNUM & MASON

Fortnum and Mason is an upmarket department store founded in 1707 and one of Queen Elizabeth’s favourites. If you head to the third floor, you will find this relaxed and intimate bar serving cocktails and a fantastic selection of spirits. Fun fact: in the 1930s you could get F&M to organise a cocktail party in your house for the price of three shillings and sixpence – 3'6!

SIMMONS BAR

A quirky and fun bar located in Soho, one of the most buzzing districts of London and just minutes from Piccadilly Circus. Make the most of the Happy Hour deals, Sunday to Friday, 3 PM to 8 PM.

THREE CROWNS

A traditional British pub tucked away from the Piccadilly crowds, down a side a street. The Three Crowns is also our local, here at Zedwell HQ, so we may be slightly biased!

NIGHTCLUBS

PICCADILLY INSTITUTE

Spanning across three floors and playing a wide range of music from RnB to 80s and 90s bangers, Piccadilly Institute is only a couple of minutes' walk from Piccadilly Circus tube station. Pretty convenient, right?

THE LONDON REIGN SHOWCLUB

The London Reign is not a normal nightclub, it’s a showclub! Glamorous and lavish, The London Reign offers phenomenal live performances combining aerial acts and stage shows, musicians and fire performers. A truly unique experience! The entry is guestlist only, so plan your night in advance to avoid disappointment. And remember to check the dress code guidelines, and dress to impress!

BAR RUMBA

If you want to dance the night away and have heaps of fun, Bar Rumba is a perfect choice. This Piccadilly nightclub has been open for 25 years (!) and is ideal for hen dos, birthday parties, and any other celebration. The music ranges from RnB and hip-hop to the hottest and latest hits, so it is sure to meet everyone’s expectations.

And if you are a broke student on a budget, Rumba Bar offers £1 entry, as well as £1 cloakroom and £4 on selected drinks! Just remember to bring your student ID to show at the door.

WHERE TO STAY

When you are sipping on a cocktail or going wild on the dancefloor, you don’t want to worry about catching the last train home, do you? And you definitely don’t want to actually miss your last train home and embark on a long journey on a night bus back to South London (trust me on this one).

Very conveniently, Zedwell is right in the middle of Piccadilly Circus and on walking distance from all the wonderful venues I have been telling you about!
