Budget for staying in London with kids
London is expensive city, but there are ways to save money. One way to save money is to book accommodation in advance. Another way to save money is to take advantage of London’s many free attractions, such as parks, museums, and markets. However, if you have big family with more than two children, you should consider booking pod hotel rooms, as this can be more cost-effective.
So, what is the best place to stay?
If you consider all the above options, 1. learning, 2. Fun, 3. Location, 4. Accommodation and 5. Budget, then the best place to stay in London with kids is central London such as Piccadilly or Leicester Square Hotels.
Piccadilly is a great location, plenty of family-friendly activities and attractions, and many hotels that offer family-friendly amenities. Kids generally love the giant billboards at the Piccadilly Circus.
Leicester Square is another great option for families, as it is close to many of London’s top attractions, including the Natural History Museum, the British Museum, and Piccadilly Circus. There are also several hotels in Leicester Square that offer family-friendly amenities like kids’ clubs and babysitting services.
Why staying outside central London is bad idea
Staying outside of central London can be a bad idea when travelling with kids. While there are some great family-friendly areas located outside of central London, these areas often lack the convenience and attractions that central London has to offer. Additionally, staying outside of central London can be more expensive than staying in the heart of the city. And most importantly kids get tired easily while travelling, so staying close to your hotel is very important.
For example, going to London Eye, aquarium and Shrek world from Leicester Square is easy walk. You can have breakfast in the morning and reach there in 10 minutes - without fuss. From outskirts you’ll be rushing to reach to these places. And by the time you reach there, they will be full of crowed. After long day of visiting these exciting places, kids will be tired. You do not want kids to spend another 30-40 minutes on the tube journey. So overall it is better to stay in central London.
